What Does:
Suboxone helps manage withdrawal and pain symptoms while detoxing off other opiates. Suboxone treatment helps prevent patients from misusing opiates.
Summary of Treatment:
Patients come into our office for a Suboxone Induction – a process in which our staff monitors the switch from the current narcotic(s) being used to suboxone. After the Induction, patients are usually seen on a bi-monthly to monthly basis for check-ups and to renew their prescription. However, Suboxone is not the final treatment. Our goal is to transfer all patients from Suboxone to Naltrexone.

What Does:
Naltrexone, blocks the opiate receptors in the brain, making it hard to feel the “high” produced from narcotics. Since Naltrexone implants are inserted under the patient's skin, doses can not be forgotten or purposely skipped, which makes it virtually impossible to relapse if treatment is maintained.
Summary of Treatment:
Patients come into our office and have a procedure preformed in which a special slow-release form of Naltrexone is placed under the patient's skin. Implants should be repeated every eight weeks.

What Does:
Ultra-Rapid Opioid Detoxification (UROD) assists in the road to recovery by jumpstarting the patient through opiate withdrawals.
Summary of Treatment:
Ultra-Rapid Opioid Detoxification (UROD) is a 4-6 hour process. While under anesthesia, the patient is administered medications that dramatically accelerate the withdrawal process. A vivitrol injection is administered during the UROD, which will block narcotics and their effects for the first month after the UROD. Follow-up injections or naltrexone implants are encouraged.
